Whoa Nellie!

If you haven’t seen my video on how to carry a car seat in a new way you can watch it by clicking on the image below. The clip includes a portion of my original video as well as a short interview on why I filmed it etc.

If you would like to see the original video you can find it HERE

The response from this video has been overwhelming to say the least! I am so grateful for all of the sweet comments from people who have found benefit in using this technique. For those that it didn’t work for there is another product that I was recently introduced to that is a car seat that transforms into a stroller which may be the perfect solution for you! I will share more when I find out more information so stay tuned! 🙂

Another thing I wanted to add is a little more information on baby-wearing as I suggest this as my preferred way of carrying baby (when they are NOT traveling in a car). When baby is in a car a car seat is the only safe way to travel! Outside of that car though baby-wearing is a great option for many moms but it’s important to remember to do this safely. You can see in the image here the tips for safe baby-wearing.

I know you’re thinking okay okay lady get to the diaper changing! Wait no more!

If you would like to watch the full video with explanation please click on the video below to watch.

If you would like to watch the video demonstrating the technique without any explanation then you can find that in the video below.

In the first video I explain why you would choose to change a diaper with this roll technique over the traditional double leg lift technique. When lifting a baby with the double leg lift (the traditional way many people use to change a diaper) it puts strain and stress on the lumbar spine or low back of baby. Babies who are not crawling have not developed their lordotic curve in their lumbar spine and so putting this stress on baby can have a negative impact on them. By rolling baby to change their diaper we can protect them from this stress and it’s an easy technique to implement!
You can see the progression of steps for the technique in this image.
