Meet the Doctor

Dr. Emily Puente is a graduate of Parker University. She received her Doctorate of Chiropractic as well as BS in Anatomy & Physiology and BS in Health & Wellness. Prior to studying at Parker, Emily attended both Nicholls State University in Louisiana and Adams State College in Colorado.

Dr. Emily is certified in the Webster’s Technique and by the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice and Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics in Prenatal and Pediatric Chiropractic, member of the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association (ICPA) and hostess of the Pathways Connect Group with meetings held quarterly at her office.

What does all of this mean?

This means that Dr. Emily has successfully completed the 200-Hour post-graduate course of study and examination to provide her with the knowledge and experience to assess and care for the pediatric population with chiropractic. The Webster’s Technique training is a technique that is utilized commonly on pregnant women (but not restricted to pregnant women solely) to allow for optimal positioning of the mother’s pelvis to provide the ideal environment for mom and baby.

Dr. Emily Puente is certified in animal chiropractic by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association. You can find someone certified in animal chiropractic near you at AVCA Doctors

Emily played collegiate soccer at both Nicholls and Adams and ultimately graduated from Adams State with a BS in Molecular & Cellular Biology. After undergrad Emily continued her soccer career and played for Sunfire, a semiprofessional women’s indoor team in Keller, TX.

Emily was born in Ancon, Panama. Her father was in the Air Force and stationed there. She moved to Fort Worth, TX at the age of 3 and grew up in the metroplex. Her husband Mark is also from Fort Worth and they met at their local church.

Mark and Emily are the proud parents of their first child, Adelaide “Addie”, who was born in 2013 and Sydney who was born in 2015. Addie was born naturally at a birth center in Dallas and Sydney was born at the family home. Emily is able to tell women firsthand the true benefits of chiropractic for pregnant and laboring women after having experienced them herself.

Emily is not only certified in the Webster’s Technique but is also certified by the Academy of Chiropractic Family Practice and Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics in Prenatal and Pediatric Chiropractic and a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association as well as the American Pregnancy Association. These have helped tremendously in being able to provide optimal care to pregnant women as well as children.

In addition to treating people, Emily Puente has also completed her certification course in Animal Chiropractic! This allows everyone in the family to receive chiropractic care for maximal health benefits.
